DESCRIPTION
The exceptional virgin olive oil is today recommended by modern medicine due to its valuable components that provide health, well-being, and longevity. In our Monastery, there is a modern certified olive mill, which is the continuation of the old stone-built olive mill. The ancient olive grove comprises 4000 trees, some of which are up to 800 years old. There, we find many self-rooted olive trees, thousands of wild olive tree roots, and unique varieties. Additionally, there are modern olive groves with a further 4000 olive trees. In the Monastery's olive grove, modern and innovative production processes are used, such as composting all the residues of the olive mill, as no chemical fertilizers are used in the Monastery.
